For your consideration is a fantastic Antique Art GlassVase with a rare J.E Caldwell & Co Sterling Silver Overlay, circa early1900’s.

This is a beautiful Art Nouveau piece and although theglass is unmarked, there is no doubt of it being produced by one of the qualitymakers such as Tiffany, Quezal, Steuben, Durand, Loetz, etc. The glass has a ribbed body with aruffled rim. It is yellow/gold in color with soft hints of pink, blue and greeniridescence giving it a nice glow. The vase is internally cased with clearglass and has a neatly polished pontil on the bottom side.

The sterling silver overlay design is fantastically complex; it wraps the vase all the way around including the ruffled rim and bottomedge. Thechartreuse remains monogram free. The silver is marked with the J.E. Caldwell factoryhallmark along with 999/1000 Fine Silver.

The vase is in excellent Antique condition, free of any chips, cracks or repairs. The Sterling Silver Overlay is in excellentcondition with light age related wear and tarnishing.
