Art Nouveau large brass frame organic + female romantic decoration super patina:

It is crafted out of brass and its many years of TLC has developed a delightful authentic patina.

The raised decoration features typical Art Noveau themes with graceful flowing flowers and leaves and a romantic lady of the period gazing into the frame.

We cannot be sure that it was manufactured in the early 1900s. However, the gorgeous patina (and associated wear and build-up of polish residue!) and the style and wear on the faded back plate all suggest it has significant age and isn't a modern reproduction.

Note:We always try to take potential buyers as close to the item as we can with our images and we think they support the above description. Incidentally, the image in the frame is purely for display and has no age or value.

It is 10in/25.5cm in height and is 7.5in/9cm wide.

As a matter of policy we don't polish metalware items because we know that some buyers wish to retain the age-related look and patina. So what you see in the pictures is the excellent condition in which it came our way.
It is obviously preowned, but the metal is in good condition and undamaged. The glass is intact and the the hinged support and the restraining clips are still in working order.

We know we are biased, but we think this is a real gem.

This COLLECTORLINKS shop is run by Gill Jefferson and husband John, who live in Yorkshire, England.

it has developed out of a shared passion for 20th Century Design and in particular the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods and the exciting so-called \'Retro\' period of the 1950s, 60s and 70s.
