Artist Carlson Hall signed Raku Pottery Vase with one-of-a-kind patterning:
$89.00

Raku is the Japanese art of glazing forms originating in Japan during the sixteenth century and is still used today. The process of Raku is of rapidly cooling glaze fired objects. It is then lifted from the kiln and placed in covered containers filled with a combustible material such as straw or leaves. Flames from the material ignite creating beautiful random patterns making each piece unique and one of a kind. This Raku piece is signed by Artist Carlson Hall created in 1985.
A beautiful mystical vase measures 8\" tall and 6\" wide. The colors range from deep eggplant purples to intense fire colored rust/oranges and pinks to turquoise greens. As one turns the vase the colors break into each other with lovely satisfying intensity. The finial fits perfectly breaking the spherical shape with a collection of vertical objects clustered together. This unusual piece was purchased long ago in Provincetown Cape Cod Massachusetts, a little town well know for its colony of artists.Thank you and please no returns.
