The J.D.K. mold 221 is one of the most desired of Kestner’s dolls.The orig antique Googly dolls were made in Germany in the early 1900s. I will try to describe this reproduction the best I can.Incised on the back of her head is \"Made in Germany, J.D.K.,221, Ges. Gesch\", along with artist \"BettyS 83\".This is a limited edition of the artistmarked #6/100. Doll measures 14\" tall being a bisque porcelain socket head on strung jointednewer composition Seeley type body with \"Shepherd\" label down the back.Doll is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows,legs and knees with all fingers intact. Expressive little face withBig open blue glass googly eyes, painted black lashesabove her eyes, brownbrows and closedmouth with a \"smile\". Light color blush on her wonderful little face. Long darkblonde human hair wig with bangssecure on her head attached to a pate. Wears a lovely antique style dress with lace trim and comes with pantaloons,socks, and leather shoes.
