Terrific old Artist Paint Box / Case…

Wood covered with grained cloth overlay and metal corner protectors…

Metal lock (no key) and metal latches…. Not hinged, cover lifts off / removes…

Six (6) wood drawers… some with dividers…. two (2) with original canvas divider inserts…

Vintage / Antique… my guess would be c 1900-1930 (?)

No makers mark or label… quality is quite good… maybe English?

Condition

Overall Very Good condition… for 70-80 years of age…

Original patina… plenty of patina! Or I should say plenty of paint spatter and remnants…

No major breaks… I suspect it originally only had the 6 drawers… and the open space beneath was for paint gear…

No palette. Leather handle is original but split. One leather tab for pulling drawers (#6) is lost.

So while I try to describe them in some detail and provide representative photos you will not see them with specific condition grades. Photos are always of the actual item offered in the sale. Most of these items are used, vintage, so some wear is to be expected. Again, if I can detect any specific damage or repairs I will note them; my tendency is to emphasize negative condition issues. If you are a successful buyer and believe that the item is not as represented, let me know within 14 days, I will take it back and refund your money.
