This frame is built with half lap construction from quartesawn white oak. The quartersawn white oak brings out the rays and flecks of the wood.
The top, bottom, and side rails measure 2\". The frame measures 9 1/2\" wide and 10\" tall
This is a Gloss Ceramic Tile. The image (from a photograph of a genuine Victorian Majolica ceramic tile) is printed through a quality heat process that guarantees vivid colors and crisp images. Majolica refers to earthenware pottery made in the 19th century with molded surfaces and colorful clear lead surfaces.
This Mission style frame was finished with a coat of aniline dye to bring out the rays and the grain of quarter sawn white oak. It is then finished with a coat of glaze,sealer, and lacquer.
