This is for a beautifulvintageheart shapedpowder compactclearly marked Askew on the back. Thelid is beautifully decorated with a cherubs face flanked with wings and there are additional stars, crescent moons and sea shells. The lid has the original diamante stones inset into it. The designer Sue Askew is more known for here one-off jewellery creations, she takes and us original vintagejewels from any time after the 1940s to re-imagine them and create very interesting and unique contemporarypieces, this compact is unusual and its totally unique.The underside of the lid has a mirror and inside is the original heart shaped tray. The base of the compact has an engine turned pattern with a central heart and itis excellentcondition with no damage at all.It measures55mm just over 2\" acrossand stands12mm (0.5\") tall.
