Atwater Kent Tube Radio Vintage Model 40 & Round 15 1/2\" Speaker PICKUP ONLY

This is an Atwater Kent antique tube radio and 15 1/2\" speaker for local pick-up only. The radio weighs 34 lbs (not counting speaker) so I am selling for pick up only at this point. The radio is marked inside, \"Model 40, serial number, 2880899 Made Philadelphia, PA USA\". There is also a plate with patent number. The radio measures 17\" x 10\" x 7\". The lid lifts off to reveal the tubes inside which are all intact. I have not plugged in to test. There are 7 tubes and a cloth cord. There are labels inside, \" Ant., Ground, Binding Poles\". The speaker measures 15 1/2\" diameter x 18 1/2\" tall x 5 1/2\" deep. There was an original advertising postcard that was in the speaker when I got it that reads, \" New Kind of AC Radio $88. Model E Radio, Speaker $24\". The plate on the back reads, \" Design Patent 73261, Serial # 987542\". This item has a cloth cord. The speaker cloth is ok. I got this item from second owner who purchase in the 1930\'s and said it still worked. I have not tryed. I also have a lot of old radio tubes on hand from a close-out repair service and we can look for tubes if it doesn\'t run. No guarantees finding the right tube. I may offer this radio for shipping ifI can find a box. I am worried it will be pricey to ship and tubes might break.My photos are of the actual item you are getting.
