Auction of a Rare Art Deco Boxed Glass Perfume Bottle by Ahmed Soliman of Cairo:
$143.50

Welcome to this sale of an emerald-green and gilt glass perfume bottle by Ahmed Soliman!
It measures four-and-three-eighths inches tall without its stopper, and five-and-one-eighths inches tall with its stopper.
Ahmed Soliman owned a perfume shop located at the Khan-Khalili Bazaar in Cairo, Egypt during the first half of the 1900s. It was called the Palace of Perfumes and he called himself \"Cairo\'s Perfume King\".
This is one of his beautiful bottles. It is emerald-green with a gilded incised pattern, and bears the paper stamps \"Ahmed Soliman Parfumeur Le Caire\" and \"Lily of the\" (\"Valley\" is missing). The original cork has broken and is inside the bottle. There are a few flea-bite nicks around the collar, but generally the condition is excellent with minor wear to the gilding.
The box looks like green shagreen and is slightly worn (see photos). It has an orange silk lining with some wear & staining. The age is probably early 20s or 30s.
What a striking and beautiful addition to any collection!
My response is 100% positive, so offer with confidence.
