Standing appx. 16 1/4\" this is an elegant , expertly made Austin sculpture , made for Austin by famous artist Alexander Danel. Dated 1989.
Until inspecting for this listing, I never saw any nicks or chips, cracks or repairs. I looked over closely and wonder if the area under the hat is a chip or original design. It\'s within the correct shape of the fold and looks to be the design of the hat, that said it caught my eye as a possible repaired spot ? I cannot tell because the finish color( multi bronzing the title of finish) matches so perfectly that if a repair was done I think it had to be done at factory because the finish is perfect through the area I describe. I just feel the need to point this area out , please judge photos closely , you are the expert , not me. I see no other areas to point out, this beautiful statue \"reads\" perfect to our viewing eye . I only noticed that under area of the hat as I was examining with the magnifying glass.
Still has Austin sculpture brochure with artist bio included, taped to the bottom.
