Here is a absolutely beautiful piece that you will not see too often. This is a Austrian powder box or vanity box/jar. This box has what I believe is a brass filigree lid with various jewels and stones. The small handle on the lid is a cameo which I have not really seen on these types of boxes. This box also has a green cut to clear glass.

I am not 100% when this piece was made, but others I have seen were made sometime in the early 1900\'s. This piece is Austrian and marked \"Made In Austria\" (See photos). The only way to see this marking is to unscrew the plate that is on the underside of the lid.

This piece measures approximately 4-1/4\" in diameter and 2-1/4\" in height without the cameo.

This piece is in good condition for its age, but it does have some condition issues that I want to point out. The green glass has wear and light scratches on the underside from use and display. The green glass also has a few, barely noticeable small \"flea bite\" chips on a few edges. The green glass is free of any cracks, major chips or damage.
The lid on this piece has all of its original stones and jewels. The metal has a few very small/tiny green spots (again, not a lot at all). Under the cameo handle, it looks like some of the metal was bent/pushed in. I included a picture of this flaw with a pair of tweezers pointing to the bend.
