A super brise fan with a detailed and delicate hand painted scene in the midst of winter.
Probably a church with attached building, it is peeking out of trees and bushes and what appear to be a male and female peasant is looking on. The sun appears to be setting behind the building.
To the left is a stile adorned with small pale blue flowers and two red and black birds.
On this the upper side of the fan, are blue and gold initials on the guar, probably FG.
On the verso, in pale shades of pink and apricot, is a spray of roses, and leaves. One brown/apricot butterfly to the right, one in shades of blue on the left.
Guard length approx. 8.5 inches or 21.5 cm. Strong cream silk ribbon. I have not spotted any damage on this fan. If anything there are a few slight age spots.
Comes with a box retailed in Barcelona by Eduardo Dolcet, who specialises in presents, and sells \"Abanicos, Paraguas and Sombrillas\", so fans, umbrellas and parasols, I think. The label design includes these 3 items!
Fairly heavy to post. If I have charged too much I will refund any excess.
