Very good pre-owned condition with one small make-up smudge seen in pic 3, and a little wrinkled at the borders. Hems remain mostly plump, silk is still a bit crisp to the touch and drapes gorgeously.

The decorative style known as \"Rocaille\", very much in vogue in the eighteenth century, was based on ornamentation, reproducing or evoking shell forms, those curiosities, which have fascinated man ever since shellfish have existed. They have fascinated him, calling him to adventures on far off strands, filling his ears with the rumours of the sea and embellishing the display cabinets of collectors.
