• This beautiful and rare sculpture cast in bronze is signed by the artist \"A. Jacquemart\" (1824-1896). It is sometimes referred to as the \"bloodhound Studying a Tortoise\"
Description:
Jacquemart was a 19th century French Sculptor known for his detailed and realistic bronzes of animals, most often dogs. Measuring approximate 6” tall by 7’ long and 4” wide, looking over a tortoise. The dark-brown patina on this bronze is original and is in excellent condition and has no issues or restorations.
It is signed and stamped with Delafontaine foundry mark
