AUTHENTIC HISTORY OF SAM BASS AND HIS GANG J. Marvin Hunter SIGNED Texas Outlaw:
$45.50

- A charming vintage historical narrative, AUTHENTIC HISTORY OF SAM BASS AND HIS GANG by a Citizen of Denton County
- It was originally printed in Monitor Book and Job Printing Department at Denton Texas in 1879. This copy was reprinted from the original by FRONTIER TIMES of Bandera, Texas in 1950. The Frontier Times was published by noted historian and journalist, J. MARVIN HUNTER and was started in 1923.
- The book is SIGNED by J. MARVIN HUNTER. A printout of the Wikipedia article on Hunter will be sent along with the book.
- This is an amazing narrative of a notorious gang of outlaws who robbed stages and express companies in the BLACK HILLS and TEXAS. Much of it is as it was told by Sam Bass himself to J. W. MURPHY around the campfires. It is written in the language of the parties, as much as Murphy was able to remember the conversations.
- The book is paperback and is generally good condition for it\'s age. The binding is tight and, other than the autograph, there are no marks. The cover is slightly soiled, has a crease where the book opens, and has a few small tears and there is a tiny tear at the bottom of the title page. All the other pages in the book (126 pages) and the back cover are without tears.
- This is a PERFECT BOOK for a lover of TEXAS HISTORY or AMERICAN OUTLAWS. It\'s a quirky and charming narrative of life in the olden days.
