Up for sale we have this B and O Railroad Ledger starting the year of 1862 that contains 100\'s of names,dates,certificate numbers,residents and the numbers of shares owned by each person. The majority of shareholders are from the Baltimore area, although there are some from England. I would assume many are prominent Baltimoreans, including Johns Hopkins, E. Pratt, Lady Elizabeth Stafford, Rothschild, State of Maryland, City of Baltimore, Ball Life Ins. Co. and T. Whitridge and Co. I am sure that this Ledger is worthy of further research. The covers on the inside are decorated with marbled paper. It measures 11 3/4\" by 16\" by 2 1/2\" thick. In very nice condition. Thirty one pages are filled in.
