Thislisting is for an authentic vintage sample of antique barbed wire fencing. This wire features a George C. Baker patent, dated February 27, 1883.This wire is called \"Baker\'s Flat Two Point Barb on Single Heavier Round Line Wire,\" by collectors. (ref Hagemeier 6-B). This wire features a single heavier gauge round line wire. Line is a bit less than 1/8\" in diameter. Barbs are made of flat stock,wrapped once aroundthe line wire. Wire sample is 18-1/2\" in length. It shows age anduse wear with light to moderate pitting. There are five barbs well spaced, and cut iswell centered. There are no bent, broken or missing points. Wiresample is in good used condition.
