This energetic ink and watercolor sketch of the Gotham Guardian has an overall size of 11\" x 17\", and the art is in Excellent condition. Signed at the lower right.
The only \"wear\" is from the watercolor process on paper itself. This item is not mounted or framed and is ready as such to make for a truly spectacular statement with the right frame.
As a commission piece this item has a publishing history of only an appearance in a Heritage sale catalogue (Heritage Signature sale #7054 Comics & Comic Art, February 22-24, 2012).
Please take my advice and view Mr. Sienkiewicz\'s own web site to view many spectacular examples of his art (comic and fine art), as well as to see examples of his pricing began his career as a realistic artist in the vein of Neal Adams, an appropriate choice for Marvel\'s Moon Knight, but during the 1980\'s his work became more and more stylized and abstract. Bill Sienkiewicz has worked on Batman at various times during the 1980\'s - 2000\'s doing covers and pages. He is of course famous for his turn on Moon Knight and Elektra Assassin (story by Frank Miller). As well as turns on many other DC and Marvel titles (DareDevil, Star Wars, Nick Fury, Stray Toasters, Thirty Days of Night [movie adaption] and many others).
