DICK JAMES MUSIC LIMITED - DEMO TAPE
An extremely rare Dick James Music studio reel 2 reel 1/4\" tape featuring demos of \"I Am The Walrus\", \"Fool On the Hill\" and \"Beatle Pantomime\". The tape box is dated 5th Sep 1975 and inside is a note on a booking agents form requesting 6 copies of the demos to be made up. Interesting differences discovered in the recording include \"I Am The Walrus\" without a loop at the end along with a changed lyric while Fool On The Hill appears to have a different ending. The Beatle Pantomime is a story told through song. The tape has been digitised and a CD recording will be included with this sale.
I don\'t have a CD player at home, sohaveplayed it on my car player and wouldmake the followingobservations:
I Am The Walrus has a running time of 4:38, and seems to be missing the \"How Do You Do Sir\" and \"The Man Maintains A Fortune\" responses half-way through, but sometimes car speakers don\'t pick up these type of things.
Fool On The Hill (2:51) sounds like the Anthology 2 Demo version (2:48), with Paul and his piano.
Pantomime = Everywhere It\'s Christmas, but the running time is 6:29 and it starts with the choir and ends with \'Everywhere It\'s Christmas\" refrain.
The timings are per the car CD player, so do include a few seconds of no sound at the end of each track, this makes sense with the Fool On the Hill track, as it would align it with the Anthology 2 timing (2:48), once the blank sound is discounted.
Because of this value, this item will be posted by Royal Mail Special Delivery (next day by 1pm).
