This pretty French doll is 21.5\" (54 cm) tall and is an SFBJ 301 - Société Française de Fabrication de Bébés et Jouets (also referred to as S.F.B.J.) which was the last of the great French dollmaking companies.She has a bisque socket head on a fully jointed French composition and wood doll body with well shaped parts. She has a fine quality bisque head with skilled delicate painting of features, pleasant colour, crisp modelling of a very sweet face with a wide-eyed expression. Her smooth, creamy complexion has beautifully blushed cheeks and no rubs. She has blue eyes (no longer sleeping) with painted upper and lower lashes, molded and feathered brows, open mouth with four upper teeth. She is wearing an auburn mohair wig and replaced pate.Her outfit consists of an antique style sage green cotton dress with criss-cross pleating down the front, antique lace overlay with low ruffled hem, original antique eyelet lace edged cotton underwear, antique ruffled cream bonnet, antique cream stockings, vintage white oilcloth shoes with metal buckles. She has an antique oval gold pin engraved \'Rae\' on her dress.MARKS: SFBJ

8CONDITION: The original body is in good original finish condition with some age wear and there is a small repair on the right knee (see picture 8). There is a small flat flake-like chip on the left pierced hole of the ear (see picture 6). A very pretty French girl to add to your collection!Layby available over a two month period.
