BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE 1850-1860 PALE AQUA SILK TAFFETA CHILDS DRESS:

Truly lovely and understated small child or large dolls dress from the mid 19th c. The dress is entirely hand stitched and made from pale mint blue - green silk taffeta. [ The pictures make it look more blue ] The entire dress is lined. The bodice with cotton and the skirt with gauze. There is some melting of the silk along the bottom hem and scattered age staining that is barely noticeable, but the main apology is the brown stain in the bodice. This could be easily hidden with a strip of old lace tacked to bodice in a V shape from underarm to underarm or draped gathered and tacked as well. There is also other very small areas of wear. Over all this dress is perfectly able to displayed and worn. The only reason I am selling it is that the doll that is wearing it now is not old enough and needs something more appropriate for her era. It fits her perfectly and she is 34\" tall. Measurements are:

Shoulder seam to shoulder seam 11\"
