Such a delicieux silk and silk velvet confection that would be wonderful for a boudoir jewellery trinket box.It held high classbon bonsfrom the famous and most prestigious chocolaterie :F. MARQUIS. 59 PASSAGE DES PANORAMAS44 RUE VIVIENNEPARISThis link gives a wonderful insight into the history of the shop[link removed by ]The box has a beautiful outer covering of silk cut velvet. The background is very soft eau de nil/pale green with the cutwork vignettes in soft greens and rose pinks. Each vignette is a ribbon garland topped cartouche with a rose filled centre.The outer edges are trimmed with silk passementerie cord and braids in co-ordinating shades.The front closes with a tiny silk loop with a brass stud.The box stands of four petite turned brass feet.The inner is ivory silk with the gilded shop details on the inner lid.
