This sale is for a beautiful antique 19th century French Victorian silk/cotton (burn test indicates silk fibers with smell of burning hair) lace flounce. It has been removed from an elaborate collar of an 1800s cape. This is in very good condition aside from a few tiny holes in the upper portion of the lace from which it was removed from the collar. All three flaws are about 1\" from top edge. The largest tear is about 1/4\". This should not prevent one from using for their project. However, if one wishes for absolute perfection, please think carefully before placing a offer, since this is being sold

It measures approximately 33\"+ measured across top edge only x 9.5\". Top edge of lace is finished off. This is rich black in shade and is simply stunning in person. It has a very nice texture and is of substance, not flimsy thin.
