Description A beautifulgenuine English antique Victorian solid sterling silver \"chatelaine\"scent bottle by the silversmiths Sampson Mordan & Coand with full English silver hallmarks for London 1890.Excellent quality genuine 127 year old example, nice largesize, with a hinged silver flip-top lid and decorated with attractive engraved scrolls & foliage. Inside it has its originalencased glass bottle and also has its original tight fitting chisel glass stopper. Fully gilded under the lid and it weighs a heavy approx. 78 grams. Ready to be used.

ConditionGood condition, no splits or cracks to the silver, no solder repairs, definitely no wear holesand no nasty knocks or dents, a clean example. The lid hinge works perfectly and the interior encased glass bottle is original, has a little hairline crack near the rim, honestly nothing much at all and totally water-tight. The glass chisel stopper is original and its still has its original interior gilding under the lid, virtually all intact. Comes with its large silver ring for attaching to a chatelaine.
