This is from the IndianaGlass Company and this set of blue carnival glass is in their Harvest Grapepattern.

The blue carnival glass wasfirst introduced in 1971 and with production ramping down as quickly at 1973and discontinued in 1976.

Indiana Glass Co NEVER soldwater sets like other manufacturers did. The pitchers, goblets and tumblers were ALWAYSsold separately.

This set includes the pitcherand the tumblers.

This beautiful pitcher weighsa whopping 5 POUNDS and has the ice lip (some of the pitchers listed on-line donot).

This is a beautiful set thatwould make a great addition to any collection and would make a great Mother’sDay gift.

There are no chips, dings orcracks on any of the pieces.

There are two slag “nipples”left over from the manufacturing process on the top of the handle of thepitcher (see photo).

One of the waysto determine if carnival glass is legit is to hold it up to the light and whendoing so a SINGLE base color should appear. In this case, the color isblue as evident in the photo.

Pitcher Dimensions: Holds 64 ounces comfortably (70 ounces when filled to thelimit); stands approximately 10 1/4” tall with a base of 5 1/16” diameter(outside edge) and around 8 1/2 wide (tip of spout to outside edge of handle).

Tumbler Dimensions: Holds 14 ounces comfortably (16 ounces when filled to thelimit); stands approximately 5 7/8” tall with a base of 2 1/8” diameter(outside edge) and an opening of 3 1/2” (outside diameter).

Note: The angle of the photos of the glasses toshow the design seems to have stretched the perception of their size; theyapproximately 5 7/8” tall as noted above.
