For sale here is this stunningCarlton Chinaporcelain trio (cup, saucer and plate set) which dates from around 1928. This extremely attractive Carlton Wareset is marked with \"Carlton China, Made in England\" (the mark for porcelain, rather than earthenware, items). The cup shape is known as \"Chinese\" and the pattern number is \"4801\", although this set has no pattern number marked on it.
The set is sumptuouslydecorated with a rich pattern of carp fish and seaweed on a teal blue ground, with very lavish gilding. The overall effect of this pattern is really superb! This fish look almost iridescent, with subtle green and pink colouring beneath the gilt scales.
The cup measures 2 1/2inches in height, the saucer is 5 1/2 inches in diameter and the plate measures 6 inches in diameter. In excellent vintage condition.
UK postage is by Recorded or Special Delivery. Overseas postage is via Registered Airmail.
