This is a very nice and rare example of a Seth Thomas UN Navy Mark I Deck Clock. The dial is 6\" and the case is 6.5\" x 2.75\". On the base it is 11\" x 9\". It was manufactured in 1940. The clock has a brushed brass face, which I have never seen in another deck clock. The dial is in remarkably condition with just one small scuff area. The pictures do not show how nice it is. The 8 day clock works great and keeps very accurate time with the speed adjustment and has the second hand. All of the functions are in the back, and there is a slide that covers all of the functions. Interesting that although these were not striking clocks, Seth Thomas chose to leave the stop shaft anyway. The clock is housed in a heavy solid brass case which has a wonderful patina and a plastic crystal. There is one small ding. The clock is mounted on a nice wooden base with a brass finial. This clock may have been a presentation piece. This is a truly awesome clock that deserves a nice new home. The clock will sell to the highest buyer. Canadian buyers please ask about shipping cost.
