BIG APPLE COMIX #1 - First Printing RARE 1975 Neal Adams Wally Wood & Others BIG APPLE COMIX #1 - First Printing RARE 1975 Neal Adams Wally Wood & Others Published by Big Apple Productions in 1975, the guiding forces of this ode to the grease and grime that WAS New York City in the mid-Seventies was Flo Steinberg. A figure of immense affection who toiled in the early go-go days of Marvel Comics as Stan Lee\'s secretary. Her love of both comics and New York can be seen in this \"cruel to be kind\" collection of stories written and illustrated by some of the greats in comics. If you\'re a fan of comics and National Lampoon, you\'ll know such luminaries as Wally Wood, Neal Adams, Ralph Reese, Archie Goodwin, Al Williamson, Alan Weiss to name just a few. Book is in very good condition, with minimal cover wear and slight creasing. The interiors are brighter than the scans show (I didn\'t want to get all \"photoshoppy\", but is WAS printed on some pretty shoddy cheap wood pulp stock. Overall however - no tears, rips, or coffee-ring stains! Not too shabby for an item 39 years old (it DID spend it\'s life in a plastic bag!)
