BIZARRE THRILLS NO.1 - Paragon Publications 1977 BILL BLACK- Illustrated Adventures of the UNUSUAL! Size 11\" X 8.5\", B&W with color cover. Hands down the most outrageous of the Paragon publications of the 1970s, written, drawn and inked by Bill Black, mostly. Cover is of the Paragon PHANTOM LADY by Joe Staton and Bill Black. Book leads off with a surreal unusual adventure with the Paragon PHANTOM LADY against the Golden-Age BLACK CAT (see pic). Other features include STORMY TEMPEST by Steve Vance and Black, MISS VICTORY by Marc Hempel, Harv\'s Beauties by R. C. Harvey, Wallace Wood ink wash drawing, demonized babe by Bill Pearson, TARA finds a beast-man tribe beneath Jungle Island by Tom Lyle and Black and Paragon\'s first adventure of THE BLACK PHANTOM AND HER ALL GIRL OUTLAWS by Black. But the frosting on the cake is the cover story, \"BLACKJACK\", which is a bizarre, Lovecraftian tale that has attained cult status over the decades. Bill Black who created all this weirdness signed the inside front cover. See pic.
