Nice Piece of Vintage Black Americana McCoy Santa Claus

Description

Santa stands 11\" tall with hat on; 8 1/4\" without hat; inside opening approximately 5\". He is heavy: actual weight of jar is 4 lbs 3 oz, so shipping weight will be 6 lbs.

Condition

Nice condition for age. Good, bright, shiny coloring on face. Hat color seems typical for McCoy - please look at pictures closely. Some pin head size white areas on hat and also a chip on underside rim. No chips, cracks, chigger bites or discolorations on base of cookie jar. It does have a lot of crazing. There is one peculiarity - I believe it may have been done during molding but not 100% sure. It is not smooth on the inside bottom. There is a fairly large jagged piece sticking out of the inside center bottom. I don\'t know if this was the section that attached on the mold, like a mold mark and it did not break off properly? It appears to have a glaze over it. Please look closely at the pictures before offerding.
