Upfor sale is a BLACK FOREST GERMANY VINTAGE *8 DAY* BEER KEG ANIMATED CUCKOOCLOCK THAT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY RESTORED.It\'s an unusual older cuckoo clock!The cuckoo clock is made to look like a wooden barrel beer keg, with a steel band holding the wood slats together. The front of the case is adorned with barley and hops, and is made of a plastic or resin type material. The inner clock housing is made of linden wood.The cuckoo bird comes out of the door above the clock dial, and calls on the hour and the half hour. Also, as the cuckoo bird calls,there is a nice sounding gong. Beer drinkers sitting at a table below the clockdial raise their steins in a toast as the cuckoo bird calls. The SIGNED movement (by C.B.) is stamped \"Made in Germany 487.\"The clock measures 14\" High (without pendulum orweight) and 12\" Wide.The brass chains, weights, and pendulum are original, and the bellow tops have been replaced. THE CLOCK COMES COMPLETE AS SHOWNWITH TWO SETS OF ATTACHED BRASS CHAINS, A PENDULUM (SHAPED LIKE THE TOP OF A BARREL),AND TWO HEAVY 1500 PINE CONE SHAPED CAST IRON WEIGHTS.

I clean, oil, and adjust all of my cuckoo clocks before placing in sales. What does cleaning this clock mean: The clock hands are removed from the front of the clock, and the cuckoo bird is detached from the door. The back door is opened. The bellows, movement, and chains are removed from the clock case. The movement is thoroughly cleaned. It is then lubricated in the proper places and hung on a stand with attached weights to restore function. If necessary, the bellow tops are custom covered to maintain the original cuckoo call. The cuckoo bird is hand cleaned to maintain the original finish. The clock hands are cleaned. The inside of the clock case is brushed clean. The outside of the clock case is rubbed with lemon oil. Then all the parts are replaced back into the clock. The clock is then hung on the wall to make sure it is in working condition, and adjusted for accurate time. I do my best to restore all of my clocks to working condition while maintaining the original beauty of the clock. All clocks are described as accurately and honestly as possible. My clocks are always in working condition when sold. Please keep in mind that my clocks are not new. These time pieces have signs of age that make them distinctive and pretty, a beauty that only time can give. I carefully package all of my clocks, so they arrive to you in the same condition as pictures in sales. I ship Priority with Insurance.
