·Pan is in overall *good* condition.
·There are some surface scratches, especiallyalong the border.
·The gold rope border within the painting isintact.
·The paint beyond the rope border ispeeling/chipping. More so along the top left border.
·There are crack lines in the white acrylic“snow” in the painting.
·Front of painting is signed with “Ross” onbottom right corner.
·Back is signed with “Alaska 76” which is the time he spent in the military stationed in Alaska.
·Shipping is free for the continental US andwill include insurance.

BOB ROSS:A native of Orlando, Florida, Ross had a 10-year career in the U.S. AirForce keeping medical records.
Ross was living in Florida early in hismilitary career when the Air Force transferred him to Eielson AFB (in Alaska),where he first saw the snow and mountains that later became recurring themes inhis artwork; he developed his quick-painting technique in order to be able tocreate art for sale in brief daily work breaks.
Having held military positions that requiredhim to be, in his own words, \"mean\" and \"tough,\" \"theguy who makes you scrub the latrine, the guy who makes you make your bed, theguy who screams at you for being late to work,\" Ross decided that if heever moved on from the military, \"it wasn\'t going to be that way anymore,\"\"vowing never to scream again\".
Ross discovered after beginning his sidelinein painting that he was soon able to earn more from selling his work than fromhis Air Force position.
After leaving the Air Force, he studied withBill Alexander before becoming famous worldwide with his own televisionprogram.
