Fine original contemporary full paneled calf leather boards, spine sympathetically rebacked in antique style, using matching brown calf leather with 5 raised bands. The Third Edition, with additions; title in red and black, engraved frontispiece portrait of Charles II, the engraved plate of the arms, the large folding Map of the City of Worcester, with the battle, and the large folding plate-plan of Boscobel House and grounds, both by Burnford, the 2 folding plates are mounted on thick paper. Part 2 has separate dated title page and pagination, dated 1681. Wing B 3331. CONDITION REPORT: A rare book in the original contemporary full paneled calf leather boards, spine sympathetically rebacked in antique style (See Scans below), heavy wear/tear, scuffing to covers, ends & corners (See Scans below), pages with some age toning, spotting, minor soiling are clean & bright (See Scans below), the binding is tight & intact (See Scans below). The leather is smooth & supple to the touch (See Scans below). Note: Previous owners ink inscription on the front pastedown & 2nd blank, the foldouts are mounted & with splits at lower folds (See the Scans below). Corners heavily worn down. New endpapers added.
