On offer today is a splendid genuine Sheffield Sterling Silver Handled Letter Opener which bears the Feather Edge pattern which is very pleasing on the eyes. The piece has a genuine steel blade which has a brushed finish. The handle is fully hallmarked with the letter b for 1919 along with the Lion and the Crown and the Makers mark which is JB - the makers mark for John Biggin. The Silver handle is in good condition as the photos reflect with the odd miniscule dent which is completely expected with an item of this age! The Letter opener is 20 cm in length and weighs 40 grammes.
