A highly decorative Norwegiansolid silver (830/1000)salt cellar, scarcely found in this large size, in the form of a Viking Dragestil long boat,manufactured by Brodrene Lohne of Bergen, and dating to the mid 20thCentury.

The vessel illustratesexceptional hand crafted detail, with dragon figureheads to each end, and Art Nouveau styledcast detail to the stand.It is hallmarked to the side ‘830S LO’, for Brodrene Lohne. This translates toLohne Brothers, founded in 1921 in Bergen by Alf and Johan Lohne.
