From Capitol Records (ST-2553)this isTHE BEATLES YESTERDAY AND TODAYbyJOHN, PAUL, GEORGE and RINGO.Ithas thefamous BUTCHER photographon front cover, a rare stereo album in remarkable condition (in thiscase the stereo version is scarcer than the mono). This is the real thing -- nota copy, not a reprint, not a counterfeit, not a bootleg, not a reissue; it is abeautiful, peeled cover with certificate of authenticity from Gary Hein, theultimate authority on all things Beatles. Here\'s your chance toown the single hardest-to-find Beatles\' collectible ever.

Jacket front is finelytextured and about flawless, NEAR MINT MINUS or better; white surfaces on backcover are very clean with a few minor stains being some kind of tape residue. Seams are intact and sturdy; the spine is firmand nicely blocked with printing slightly off-center; some rubbing to spine attop. All corners are perfect rightangles, i.e., no bumped corners;slight bowing but nothing outstanding. Overall Mr. Hein rates the coverEXCELLENT stating “Some typical wear is exhibited as a result of age, storageand use over the last 40+ years”.

Note: The horizontal linesvisible in the photos above are produced by the peeling process itself and wehave exaggerated them so you can get a better idea of this piece with warts andall. In truth, these horizontal linesare almost invisible to the naked eye.

The original inner sleeve ispresent (about NEAR MINT+) showing no wrinkles or tears or other problemsassociated with aging. A remarkablepiece of paper!

Labels are flawless -- nospindle marks anywhere, MINT. Also, theridge is one inch from the spindle hole both sides, a sign of the firstprinting of the label.

The grooves show no buffs,no scuffs, no hairline marks and no scratches -- in fact, no marks of any kindon the vinyl, probably never played. Thematrix shows an “A” both sides indicating a first mother and the letters I-A-M appear inside the tiny triangle whichmeans this record was manufactured at the Scranton plant, a fact confirmed bythe number on jacket back (2). Obviously, the pristine wax rates MINT and has been thoroughly cleaned on a VPI with caretaken not to leave any mark on the labels.

Note: Mr. Hein’sassessment of EX and his certificate regards the cover only; he has not seenthe inner sleeve, the labels nor the wax.

This piece is certainly ofcollectible, archive quality suitable for display or framing; perfect forplaying. Your Beatles’ collection is notcomplete without it.

As always, we have placedthe LP in a state-of-the-art MFSL inner sleeve within separate cover forprotection during travel and for your long-term storage needs at home. Both covers are then housed in museum qualityouter sleeves for the ultimate in protection and will be shipped via yourfavorite method. The original covercontains an acid-free insert to absorb cardboard bleeding on the inside of thejacket, a problem faced by all covers made before the mid-1970s. This insert also acts as stiffener and werecommend you leave it in place as it will continue to impede acid bleeding withinthe jacket.

The package comes with Mr.Hein’s certificate of authenticity and a copy of the recall letter from CapitolRecords, June 14, 1966.

Note: Shipping isthe responsibility of the winner; we recommend UPS and full insurance coveragesince you’ll be able to track your package online every step of the way. We’ll ship same day if possible by any methodthe winner wishes.
