which are all with an \'Old Mark\', patent 1900. Gorham began in 1831 when the firm of Jabez Gorham was joined with Henry L. Webster into Gorham & Webster. The company headquarters were in Providence, RI in 1890 and by 1905 they opened a retail outlet on Fifth Avenue in N.Y. City. Throughout the latter half of the 19th century and into the 20th, attracting some of the best designer/silver artisans worldwide. They are world renowned for doing one-of-a-kind pieces on commission for major international figures and events.
