Standard Weight Yellow Brass Bell.

Standard weight Body

Lead pipe: Standard 25C. Sufficient resistance for both solo and orchestral performance with good endurance and intonation.

Valve Casings: One piece leak proof solid brass casings for durability.

Bore: CL (.462) Large bore for professional and advanced players with good air support.

This Strad will make an easier transition from the Bb to the C compared to Bach C\'s with bigger lead pipes.

Overall Condition: Very good! This Bach 239 is in very good overall shape and did not have heavy use in performance. It has had dent repair on the bell which now looks good overall. Valves and slides are smooth and fast, and feel great. The response is also excellent. This horn was just hand cleaned and polished. New springs, pads, corks and rubber bumpers were replaced and this horn is ready for great performances and a long life ahead. Additionally a third slide Bach water key was added for quick water removal during practice/performance.

Tone: Lively, Resonant and Big. It projects well and will help the performer play in loud climactic passages. This is the best standard 239/25C I\'ve had a BachStrads. It plays great!

Finish: Silver Plate 98%intact.

Serial Number: 470266 (1997) This is a pre-strike professionally crafted horn.

Valves: Fast and Smooth with excellent compression.

Slides: All are free and movesmoothly.
