Up for sale is a gently used professional Bach Stradivarius 42BOHLT open wrap\"convertible\"large bore tenor trombone.This trombone has a heavyweight bell, a lightweight hand slide section(nickel silver outer tubes and crook)and only the convertible valve section is included. No goose neck section is included.All slides and valve move freely and the hand slide action is smooth(no worn through plating on inner slide tubes). There are no major dents present and several minor dings in slide crook don\'t affect performance. This trombone has minor scratches throughout from normal use and lacquer wear is minimal, with approximately 95% of lacquer intact. The hand slide serial number is in the lower 88,xxx range and the bell section serial number is in the lower 43,xxx range. Included is a used Protec zippered trombone case.No mouthpiece is included.

The Bach 42BO Stradivarius Series F Attachment Trombone is a professional Strad model designed for a large symphonic sound that projects without distortion. The Bach 42BO features a .547-inch bore with an open wrap design for less resistance for the player. The 42BO Series features an open wrap F Attachment section. The open wrap design of the rotor section places fewer and larger bends in the tubing, resulting in less blowing resistance. The open warp also offers a more true sound, so when the player uses the F Attachment the sound is not different from the sound of the trombone without the trigger engaged. Bach Stradivarius trombones are famous for their fullness of sound and projection. This is achieved by the use of one-piece construction, allowing for unrestricted vibration of the bell. In addition to the shape of the bell flare and the type and thickness of the bell material also affect the sound.
