Up for your consideration is a rare model 6 Bix Beiderbecke long mod cornet/trumpet according to the original factory paperwork included. I am the second owner and I purchased this horn for investment as it is very unique and it plays like no other horn in my collection. The bore is .462 and from low C to about E above middle C is has a huge mellow sound similar to a model 37 but less resistance and a tone like Bobby Hacketts. As you go up the scale it slots evenly and now starts sounding like a bach model 43-amazing! I had the main tuning slide replaced and the bell and bell pipe silver re-plated at Kanstul Instruments, Anaheim, CA. Overall it is in superb condition and I think very low time looking at the valves. It has the third slide water key which is a must for all my horns and the case is still in wonderful condition considering its 15 years old. Included is a new Manchester 3C mouthpiece with a 27 (standard) bore which works evenly for me.
