Being relisted so it can find a home. This is an incredibly rare Bachmann A4 Class 60008 Dwight D. Eisenhower in New Old Stock, Never Been Run condition. This is from my personal collection. I purchased this brand new and it has never seen the tracks. All the bagged parts are present, along with all instructions and original packaging. It is number 164 of a very limited production run of 250. The Certificate is shown in the photos and is included. To find one these in Never Been Run condition is impossible, as once the original 250 purchasers received these they came out of the box and hit the tracks. Except for myself, I tend to purchase trains and put them away for years. We waited a long time for these, we had to order them about a year before we received them. This one is as fresh as the day I received it. The box is a light-color lacquered wood, has a nice little latch/clasp (slightly discolored) and the Cert is clearly printed with the proper factory seal. There have been other later production runs of this locomotive but this is from the ORIGINAL run of 250. I believe I purchased this at least 20 years ago or better, but I can\'t quite remember. Time for someone else to treasure it. The winner will be very, very pleased and this and is the ONLY ONE I have. Once again, this locomotive has never been run, even on a test track. The winner will be the first one applying voltage to it.
The original full-size A4 Dwight was built in 1937 by the London and North Eastern RR. General Eisenhower used this engine as part of his Command Train, hence the designation. It has been fully restored along with two passenger cars and currently resides in the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, WI.
