For offer or purchase is an animation cel that was used in the 1979 production of Don Bluth\'s very first independently-produced film,Banjo the Woodpile Cat, produced entirely in his home between 1975 and 1979 with his colleagues during his last years at Disney beforeThe Secret of NIMHandDragon\'s Lairofficially put him on the map with the world\'s most accomplished animators. Cels for this particular film were frequently hand painted by his neighbors and friends. The film was based on Don Bluth\'s own experience living on a farm as a child, where he lost his pet cat that lived in a woodpile, then returned weeks later.
The cel was used for Scene 15, frame 89, which appears at exactly 00:05:12 frame 1 in the movie (see movie screenshot in last image). The scene is where Banjo has just decided to run away from home, overhears the feed delivery men chatting about driving to the city next, and decides to stow away on their truck. He is removed twice by one of the men (as seen in this cel), but still eventually manages to stow away for a ride to adventure in Salt Lake City.
The cel is in pristine condition, is not trimmed or cut in any way, and has no chipping in the paint or ink/Xerox lines,with all original studio notations and markings present, andcomes with a COA from the gallery it was originally obtained from. It is presented on a laser reproduction background matching the exact same scene it was used in, to re-create the scene as it appears in the film.
