DESCRIPTION: Up for sale is a beautiful Barbizon School Seascape Original Framed Oil on Board Painting in outstanding period gold gilt frame, ready to hang. Depicts a fisherman walking along the beach next to a sailboat, with more boats sailing in the distance. Excellent subject matter of a masterful fishing scene with beautiful shadows and play of lighting by the artist. It comes in a wonderfully detailed period gilt frame that is in excellent condition with no noticeable damage, minor chip on bottom back corner which is not noticeable from front. It is not signed.
Condition: Painting shows Craquelure throughout. Please see photos and closeups to make your offer accordingly. Overall, an excellent small painting for the age and could be hung and displayed as is as I would say its its in very good condition to very good plus.Size is overall with frame at approximately 11 3/4\" x 8\", painting inside frame is 10\" x 6 1/4\".
