This is a brown wool jacket worn by actress and dancer Barrie Chase in the 1958 20th Century Fox musical comedy \"Mardi Gras\" co-starring Pat Boone, Tommy Sands, Sheree North, etc. The jacket is brown wool with a brown satin lining, two button front closure, notched cuffs with a button at each, and two open side pockets with faux flaps. The jacket is in very good condition with no issues. On the inside lining is a 20th Century Fox label with her name and the production number for the movie. There is also a Fox studio cleaning tag affixed to the inner lining. Costume design by Charles Le Maire, who was Fox\'s resident designer during the 1950\'s. The jacket originally came from the series of Western Costume \"Star\" sales that were held in the mid 1990\'s at Butterfield and Butterfield sale house (now Bonhams) in L.A. The sales had many costumes from 20th Century Fox since Western acquired a great deal of them from the studio years ago. She wears the jacket predominantly during the second half of the movie when the guys go to a club and she\'s there studying. She then does her strip tease style number where she removes the jacket, and is then wearing it later when Tommy Sands does his number and she dances with him throughout. This number can be seen on youtube under \"Tommy Sands in Mardi Gras\". And the entire movie can be seen on dailymotion in two parts. Shipping will be $10 within the U.S. for Priority Mail.
