This beautiful Steiff bear is in amazing condition considering his age. He was a ride on toy from the 20s and has an internal steal armature to make him strong enough for a toddler to ride on. He has an eternal metal frame to which the wood wheels are fastened to rotate. Of course now he would be way too fragile to be used as a toy or for riding. He is now a collectible made for gentle treatment and admiration. He is about 18\" tall and about 24\" long. He has his original nose, mouth, and glass eyes. He has a wonderful growler that works when the metal wire on his back is gently pulled up. There are some areas of worn off mohair but that is to be expected, however the backing fabric looks to be in good condition. He comes from a non-smoking home and would be a very special addition to a bear collection. Thanks for looking. Questions are welcomed.
