This gorgeous antique brocade was woven in silk and metallic thread in 18th century France.
The design features charming stems of flowers and leaves along with interesting geometric patterns.
The colors are purple, soft lilac, green, cream and metallic pewter on an antique cream/beige colored ground.
There is beautiful gold colored metallic trim across the top.The fabric measures 14 1/2 inches in width by 20 3/4 inches in length.THIS FABRIC IS FRAGILE--NOT RECOMMENDED FOR SEWING!
IT WOULD BE IDEAL FRAMED FOR THE COLLECTOR OF EARLY TEXTILES!Condition:
This is antique fabric.
There are numerous breaks/tears in the fabric as well as some stains.
