Beautiful, Hand Carved - ONE PIECE WOODEN MAPLE - Early Original Country Store 13\" Wood Bin Scoop!
An exceptional very old, country store maple wood scoop in excellent condition. This large scoop is 13\" long and 5\" wide. Hand made from a single piece of hard wood. It is nice and smooth and is being sold used in \'as is condition\'. There appear to be no cracks, nor repairs. It has a light, worn wood finish with a couple of indentations from natural wear (please see photos). It has stains and old wear from years of use. The handle has a unique bump-out for a better grip. The open end is tapered thin for better scooping. All hand carved with great care. Scoops like this were once left in large wood bins of grain, animal feed, coffee, and other dry goods in early country stores. This piece of history would be a great addition to your country store or primitive tool collection!
