Offered is an authentic Native American Indian Kachina doll signed by Alta Apachito. Alta is a Native American artist working in the four corners area. She works mainly with eagles but does like to vary her styles from time to time. Each Kachina doll is detailed right down to the tips of the feathers. Alta uses real feathers and leather for the clothing on her Kachinas. The Kachina represented is the Eagle, her specialty. The eagle represents strength and power. He is the ruler of the sky and messenger to the heavens My mother purchased this doll the 1980\'s. It is signed on its base Alta Apachito. Carved from wood with leather kilt, natural white fur, feathers, bells and sea shell decorations. It measures about 14\" high. It has some fading, some bent feathers and the figure has storage dust and dinginess.
