Here is a fine 4/4 violin labeled \"Whihelm Durrschmidt, 1916\" and is in excellent condition. The instrument displays exceptional craftsmanship and has a very mature lush tone that is exemplary of the Durrschmidt workshop. It was made circa 1916 in Germany, has a beautiful deep reddish brown varnish, and all in all is a fine instrument for the professional musician or collector.
The tone is clear and projecting with a hint of texture. It can be felt in all parts of the room, with dynamics and all other musical nuances being experienced by the audience throughout the hall. Truly an artists tool.
