Floral Block Print Cotton Quilt Piece.Description:
This gorgeous and rare antique quilt piece with batting was block printed on cotton in 18th century France.
The design features vines comprised of stylized flowers that form a lovely lattice pattern along with
larger floral motifs made up of flowers, leaves and striped patterns.
The colors are red and cream.
The back side of the piece, printed in the early 19th century, features a delicate vine with flowers and leaves in black and cream.The fabric measures 32 inches in width by 18 1/2 inches in length.This heavy weight fabric would be ideal for pillows or other sewing projects!
It would also be great for the serious collector of early textiles!Condition:
This is antique fabric.
There are holes here and there throughout.
There is a vertical seam approximately 10\" in from the left edge.
